NEW MONOBRAND STORE
MINOTTI BY SMOKESIGNALS
Minotti opens a new monobrand store in the historic city of Porto, in northwest Portugal, the capital of the Douro region, named after the river of the same name. This marks an important new step for the company, strengthening its decade-long collaboration with local partner Smokesignals, managed by the Malheiro family.
Located on Avenida da Boavista, one of the city's most cosmopolitan and sought-after streets, Minotti Porto is housed within the award-winning Torre Burgo, one of Porto's most iconic and avant-garde commercial buildings. An ambitious project designed in 2007 by renowned Portuguese architect, Pritzker 2011 winner, Eduardo Souto de Moura, distinguished by its unique prism-shaped architectural structure clad in fine layers of granite combined with steel support profiles. On the ground floor of the building, the new monobrand store occupies an exhibition area of approximately 200 m², with large windows facing two sides of the building. It is divided into four distinct spaces, each defined by different architectural and scenic elements that harmoniously set the rhythm between them. The interior design, created by Minotti Studio and carefully crafted to highlight the store's identity, is characterized by a neutral color palette dominated by shades of gray, contrasting with the warmth of wood and the elegance of natural stone. Mongoy wood panels contrast with satin steel, cement-toned flooring, and lacquered, mirrored surfaces. The chromatic and material versatility thus becomes a distinctive feature of the design, drawing attention and inviting visitors into a sophisticated and immersive space bathed in natural light. Starting from the large open area at the entrance, where key pieces from the latest collection and a large angular, multi-material fireplace—an iconic architectural element of Minotti's stylistic language—are displayed, the Minotti Porto showroom unfolds into a series of elegant living, dining, outdoor, and bedroom spaces, showcasing the brand's most distinctive bestsellers. Minotti Porto thus presents itself as an exclusive space created especially for design lovers, architects, and designers: a true hub for reference, inspiration, and conversation where Minotti’s many collections and solutions are ready to be discovered.
